This is how it should be. Also Batman is cooler than Superman. I said it. Lastly, thumbs up for a studio doing the fans right. Hate to be that guy but if done correctly this could be an all time hit for me and they have the director/writer who can make it happen. |

YES SO MUCH YES Depends on the plot though...why is Batman needed to help Superman? It only really works when there are other heroes and a large scale fight for Batman to own the lower powered foes and concoct a strategy to defeat the strongest one. I'd go for Brainiac being the villain, he could have an army of goons from the Phantom Zone or some cyborg kind of soldiers Batman could handle. |

They are probably doing it to emmulate Marvel's "Avengers Effect" by setting up other heroes in movies that don't star them. Batman having just finished a successful trilogy could be the secret ingredient to push MOS 2 over the billion dollar mark. As well as set up 2017's Justice League. |

It's now confirmed that the movie could be called either Superman vs Batman or Batman vs Superman. And yes they will battle each other. |

Well barring PIS. Bats will be overwhelmed by Supes with little effort. Images from Brian Azzarello's Lex Luthor Man Of Steel comic     The missing page shows that Batman reaching for a grappling hook to grab the dropped Kryptonite. Using his super speed Superman grabs the cable before it can reach the kryptonite.  Missing page shows Batman falling high above the city. He is able to shoot a grappling hook on a gargoyle head and start to swing out of his fall. Superman uses his heat vision on the gargoyle and batman crashes in to the ground.  Missing page Batman snarls at Superman. Superman glares at him and raises his fist. In a reprint of the comic extra pages were added. To show the result. Hmm that's kind of...disappointing. Why are they fighting in it? I guess Batman could be hired by the government to get rid of him or could just deem it not safe to have some alien god around but still ehhh... It sounds kind of stupid to thrust comic book Batman on to the big screen when we've relatively recently had Nolan's more realistic version, who isn't much of a scientist or genius really. However in MOS Superman doesn't know about kryptonite so Batman kind of has an advantage/surprise element on his side. Doubt it will be as simple as him holding a rock it and punching Supes about though. Could see lacing his suit with it and having those brace things on his limbs...not sure what they're called...the thing he puts on his leg in DKR so that he can use it properly. Still excited but less enthusiastic now, though it could be some kind of "who's the better hero" versus. |

I wager it's because the Batman, the government and others see Superman as a threat. One of the things I liked about MoS but a lot of others didn't was the level of destruction caused by the fight scenes. What I liked was it showed how dangerous and catastrophic it would be to have beings with Superman's power levels fighting on Earth. The Kryptonians were like boulders crashing through a world made of glass and cardboard. How they expect Batman to keep up with this Superman is beyond me but I eagerly await the film. |

As much as I love Batman, as much as I thought Man of Steel was great and am very interested in seeing the two in a movie together, how in the hell can they make Superman vs. Batman fight? Superman's strength, power, and etc... was off the this world, speed, flight, laser eyes and so on and on.... Batman has no powers what so ever, which means he can only be as strong as the strongest human, sure he has gadgets but come on, bullets don't work on Superman..... Ok, so Superman has a weakness, kryptonite.... but that's not just something Batman would know at the top of his head, and even if he somehow figured out he'd still have to find a way to get a hold of kryptonite. I am very interested to see how they are going to make this work, because in a realistic sense, Superman would win the fight with one punch, but then again, we are entering into a comic book world so I guess anything is possible. |

Or maybe the world engine created kryptonite from the Earth that was being terraformed in India and Metropolis? That could be a plausible introduction of kryptonite to this universe. Since Kryptonian ships seemingly teleport across space by use of phantom drives. |
